Stories of courage, friendship, and hope.

An organization dedicated to education, support and outreach ultimately increasing the survival rates of Black men diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The Coalition of Blacks Against Prostate Cancer (CBPC) is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and resources to Black men. CBPC is a subsidiary organization of the Coalition of Blacks Against Cancer (CBAC) and the brother organization to the Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer (CBBC).

How does CBPC support the community?

CBPC provides educational resources, support, and programs that enable Black men to increase their awareness about the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer. We provide a safe space and a community that is able and uniquely qualified to provide the encouragement and engagement that will uplift and empower Black men who have been impacted by prostate cancer.

Our Mission

To provide Black men diagnosed with, undergoing treatment for, and cured of prostate cancer with high quality, reliable information within a safe, family-friendly, supportive environment; to educate the Black community about prostate cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment; and to encourage participation in research opportunities that build cultural awareness with medical providers.

Our Vision

Our vision is that every person of African descent who is a prostate cancer survivor will have access to high-quality information, support, and resources to assist in their prostate cancer journey. Furthermore, as a result of the survivors’ efforts, the Black population will become more educated about prostate cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
